Stockholms stads innovationsstipendium 2011

The Stockholm Innovation Prize 2011 was handed out this past Friday, November 25, at Stockholm City Hall. Chosen from 161 applications, six prizes were handed out to nine winners, and I am proud to say that Anders Marklund and I were awarded one of the six prizes. The motivation reads as follows:

"Michael Gustafsson and Anders Marklund are awarded a stipendium of 75 000 SEK for Agile Reading System, which makes it easier to read on small screens such as Iphone. With this system it is possible to enlarge the text and at the same time keep overview and coherence."

"Michael Gustafsson och Anders Marklund tilldelas ett stipendium på 75 000 kronor för Agile Reading System, som gör det lättare att läsa text på små skärmar som exempelvis Iphone. Med detta system kan man förstora texten och samtidigt behålla överblick och sammanhang."

This is the second time I am awarded the Stockholm Innovation Prize - the first time was in 2009, that project is making progress, although I believe this project will move faster. Mobile technology is a faster mover than mining technology.
