NoFall Jumpharness inauguration in Vättlehallen, Lerum

Monday the 29th of August, the third NoFall Jumpharness was inaugurated in Vättlehallen. Lerums Konståkningsklubb is a very active and ambitious skating club, and they have successfully petitioned Lerum Municipality to install a modern jumpharness system in order to improve the training possibilities for their skaters.

Conferencier Kristoffer Berntsson - Swedish and Nordic figure skating champion - started off the show with a number, followed by trainer Thomas Öberg with skaters Sabina and Mattias, interviews with Lerums leading politician Anna-Lena Holberg (who was pleased with being able to support firgure skating), fritidsintendent Bo Backman (who had pulled the through the project), Swedish Figure Skating Association chairman Maria Meyer-Martins (who supports their members to get a NoFall in every city), LeKK chairman Helena Rosén Andersson (who is already planning for a new ice rink) and trainer Thomas Öberg (who looks forward to train his protegées with more difficult jumps). We were also treated to numbers by both very junior skaters as well as established figure skaters from LeKK.
